How can I activate an expert advisor or an indicator on the platform?

If you want to use an expert advisor or an indicator in your trading strategy, you just have to add it to the corresponding chart. To do this, follow these simple steps:

• Open MetaTrader,

• In the "Navigator" window, search for the expert advisor or indicator you need and add it to the corresponding chart. To complete this action, you have three options:

  • Double click,

  • Click and drag to the chart,

  • Click the right mouse button and choose the “a to chart” option.

• Customize its settings and confirm by clicking the "OK" button.
  

To check whether the advisor or indicator is activated, simply right-click on the chart, and in the menu, you will see both a list of indicators and a list of expert advisors.

Remember that for expert advisors to work correctly, you must first activate algorithmic trading and DLLs. To do this, you just have to follow this path (tools – Options – Expert Advisor) and enable these options:

• Allow algorithmic trading

• Allow DLL imports
