If you're reading this article, you're probably having trouble receiving the SMS Verification Code. Below are the most common reasons why you may not be receiving the SMS verification code, along with steps you can take to resolve the issue.
1. Check Your Mobile Network Connection
We send a one-time verification code via SMS to confirm your phone number. In some cases, the message may be delayed or may not arrive at all.
This may happen because:
- your mobile operator is experiencing temporary technical issues;
- your area has poor network coverage;
- the mobile network is congested, causing SMS delivery delays.
What you can do:
- Make sure your phone has a stable mobile signal.
- Move to an area with better network coverage.
- Wait a few minutes and request a new verification code.
- Check whether your mobile operator has reported any outages or maintenance.
Important: SMS delivery may take several minutes in some cases. If you don't receive the code immediately, please wait 2–3 minutes before requesting a new one.
2. Restart Your Phone
Sometimes your device may temporarily lose its connection to your mobile network, preventing incoming SMS messages from being delivered.
What you can do:
- Turn Airplane Mode on for 20–30 seconds, then turn it off.
- Restart your phone, or remove and reinsert your SIM card.
3. Check Your Phone Settings
In some cases, the SMS may have been delivered but isn't displayed in your main messages inbox.
What you can do:
- Check your Spam, Junk, Unknown Senders, or Blocked Messages folders (if available on your device).
- Make sure your device has enough storage to receive new SMS messages.
- Temporarily disable any apps that filter or block SMS messages.
You're Using a VPN
A VPN does not usually affect SMS delivery directly, but in some cases it may interfere with the phone number verification process or your detected location.
What you can do:
- Temporarily disable your VPN.
- Request a new verification code.
You're Roaming
If you're using your phone number outside the country where it was registered, SMS delivery may depend on your roaming settings and the local mobile operator.
What you can do:
- Make sure international roaming is enabled and your number can receive SMS while roaming.
- Contact your mobile operator if necessary.
- If possible, try receiving the SMS while connected to your home network.
4. Restrictions in Certain Countries
Some countries have government restrictions or special regulations regarding international SMS messages that require additional approval from the mobile operator.
What you can do:
- Contact your mobile operator to confirm that international SMS messages are supported.
- If possible, use a phone number from a different mobile operator or another country.
5. Your Mobile Operator May Be Blocking SMS
Some mobile operators block or filter automated SMS messages (A2P messages) that are used for phone number verification.
What you can do:
- Contact your mobile operator to check whether international or automated SMS messages are being blocked.
- Ask them to remove any restrictions if they are in place.
6. Your Phone Number Was Entered Incorrectly
If you entered your phone number incorrectly, the verification code will be sent to a different number.
What you can do:
- Double-check your phone number, including the country code.
- Correct the number if necessary and request a new verification code.
7. Too Many Verification Code Requests
If you've requested multiple verification codes within a short period, the system may temporarily limit additional requests.
What you can do:
Wait before requesting another code.
Please note: A progressive waiting period applies between verification code requests. After the first request, you can request another code after 1 minute. Each additional request increases the waiting time. Please avoid requesting the code repeatedly.
Do not click the Send Code button multiple times in a row.
8. Your Phone Number Is Already in Use
If your phone number is already registered to another account, it cannot be used again.
What you can do:
If you believe your phone number should be available, please contact our Customer Success Team and provide:
- your phone number (including the country code);
- a brief description of the issue;
- the exact error message (if one is displayed).
9. You're Using a Dual SIM Phone
If your device supports two SIM cards, make sure the SIM card associated with the phone number you're verifying is active and able to receive SMS messages.
What you can do:
- Temporarily disable the second SIM card if necessary.
- Check your device's SMS settings to ensure messages are being received by the correct SIM.
